The mission of the Athlete’s Committee is to work together with the broad athlete body and implement necessary procedures to voice their rights, interests and welfare.

It is clear that athletes participating in eSports face a number of challenges including receiving due recognition and respect from the broader community for their achievements. The committee will work with athletes to face these challenges in addition to a set of core goals that will further the development of eSports in Australia.

Core Goals

  • Framework of athlete’s rights and needs;
  • Athlete outreach and membership growth;
  • Development, adoption, implementation and regular update of a Member Protection policy;
  • Formal channels of communication and support for athletes;
  • Recognition and respect for achievements.

Challenges

  • Protection of rights,
  • Travel and VISA support;
  • Career progression;
  • Support networks;
  • Education assistance;
  • Access to social and financial assistance;
  • Second life career development;
  • Recognition and appreciation of achievements.
