ESL, Supercell reveal multi-year partnership for Brawl Stars esports

The Brawl Stars esports ecosystem is undergoing a change. Supercell has revealed in a press release today that it has partnered up with the ESL FACEIT Group to produce the Brawl Stars Championship as a part of the Snapdragon Pro Series. For 2025, a total prize pool of up to $2 million has been revealed, with competition kicking off globally in March and leading to the Brawl Stars World Finals in November.

“The Snapdragon Pro Series has proven itself as a top-tier circuit for mobile esports through its global reach and high production value. We look forward to working with the EFG team to reach new audiences and solidify Brawl Stars as a leading mobile esport,” said Kim Jensen, head of Brawl Stars esports at Supercell.

Everything you need to know about the Snapdragon Pro Series Brawl Stars Championship 2025

Supercell had already revealed the 2025 Brawl Stars Championship previously. This partnership merely entails that ESL will run the ecosystem under the Snapdragon Pro Series, while the rest of the format remains the same.

Starting in March, players from Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and South America can compete in the Monthly Qualifiers of the Brawl Stars Championship. These will run throughout the year and will determine the teams in the LCQ and the 2025 World Finals. Thus, the slots distribution is as follows:

  • EMEA – World Finals: 3 | LCQ: 3
  • APAC – World Finals: 2 | LCQ: 2
  • North America – World Finals: 2 | LCQ: 2
  • South America – World Finals: 1 | LCQ: 2
  • China – LCQ: 3

The top four teams from the LCQ will also compete in the Brawl Stars World Finals. The overall slots distribution in 2025 has been significantly reduced since the previous year, a questionable decision considering that many of these slots were reduced from the East Asia, SEA, and India regions – which are crucial mobile-first markets.

“Brawl Stars has been a catalyst for the growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series since Day 1, as has our work with Supercell across other titles such as Clash of Clans. Our fundamental knowledge of the Brawl Stars esports ecosystem and years of experience operating mobile leagues at a global scale position us to make the Brawl Stars Championship 2025 the best one yet,” said Sam Braithwaite, Vice President of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, ESL FACEIT Group.

Nonetheless, we still need to see how the new production will shape the 2025 season. With Brawl Stars being Supercell’s most popular esport title at the moment, its success is crucial for the developer.
