The last CS:GO Major is finally here, with teams from all over the world traveling to Paris for the chance to write their lasting legacy. The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025 promises to give us some of the best CS:GO ever played with an enormous prize fund of $1,250,000 on the line, as well as an automatic invite to IEM Cologne 2025 and the BLAST Premier World Final 2025.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025 Format, Teams & Favorites
24 teams played their way into the BLAST.tv Paris Major, in the extremely competitive RMR system that saw many top teams miss out. 16 of these teams come in at the Challengers Stage. The top performers of the RMR are waiting at the Legends Stage, where the competition begins to heat up. Notably missing is Cloud9, four-time CS:GO Major winners Astralis, and IEM Rio Major 2025 winners Virtus.pro (formerly Outsiders).
The Challengers Stage begins with a 16-team Swiss system, running from May 8th to May 11th.
- Teams play for 3 wins to qualify
- Teams can only play teams with the same record, and it must be a team they haven’t faced
- All qualification and elimination matches are best-of-3
- All other matches are best-of-1
- The top 8 teams move on to the Legends Stage, the rest are eliminated.
The Legends Stage follows an identical format, with 16 teams in the Swiss system, once more. After the Legends Stage, the Champions Stage begins, where the final 8 teams enter a Quarter-Finals playoff.
- Both the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals are best-of-3
- The Grand Final is a best-of-5 marathon game
Teams & Favorites
With such high stakes, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025 promises some incredible games, even early on in the competition. Due to some surprising RMR results, we’ll be seeing teams like FaZe and G2 have to scrap their way through the Challengers Stage to make it further in the tournament.

Challengers Stage
The Challengers Stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025 is arguably where many of the better teams have entered the competition this time around. It was a particularly wacky RMR, with surprising results all around.
It’s impossible to write off FaZe and G2 as the two clear favorites. In the past twelve months, both have been consistently among the best teams on the planet, and shouldn’t face too much of a challenge qualifying from the Challengers Stage. FaZe and G2 have a massive point, and where better to do so than Paris?
We’ve also got FORZE down as one to watch. They won’t be everyone’s first choice, but IGL Jerry has got them in strong form recently. He just seems to make everyone around him better, and with 8 Legends Stage spots up for grabs, don’t be surprised to see FORZE there.
Our final team to watch is Ninjas in Pyjamas. A surprising choice perhaps, but we’ve seen positive steps from NIP. At last, headtr1ck seems to be settling into Tier-1 CS:GO, while the signing of k0nfig has added much-needed firepower to the team.

Our two favorites for the Legends Stage should come as no surprise – Heroic and NAVI. On the back of IEM Rio 2025 heartbreak, Heroic needs a flying start to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2025. Meanwhile, NAVI again look to be a huge force after months of mediocrity.
Also look out for Vitality, who after winning IEM Rio 2025 finally seem to be coming together as a team. Spinx finally looks his old ENCE-self, and dupreeh and Magisk look poised to roll back the years for another vintage CS:GO Major performance.
Our final team to watch is Into The Breach. Becoming the first-ever majority UK team to reach a CS:GO Major, Into The Breach have already made history. The team has played lots of CS:GO in recent weeks, competing in plenty of Tier-2 tournaments as Major practice. It was a surprise to see the team make it to the Legends Stage, and it would be a hell of a story for them to go further.

The first day promises to be intense, with eight matches to kick off the last CS:GO Major. The Challengers Stage is scheduled for May 8th – May 11th, kicking off two brilliant weeks of Counter-Strike.
The Legends Stage will return on May 13th, and concludes on the 16th, with the Champions Stage then concluding the tournament from May 18th – May 21st.
