Even people who don’t really enjoy gaming have downloaded and got into the campaign. The seemingly infinite number of alternate stories and paths gives Baldur’s Gate 3 a lot of replayability too.

The question of many people play Baldur’s Gate 3 is something that will keep people coming back again and again. It’s a great way to judge how popular the genre is. When it was released, there was no other game on the market that came even close. Larian’s previous Divinity series, while similar, can’t compare in terms of world building, graphics and content.
The production time on a game like BG3 means that it’ll likely stay on top of the turn based RPG genre for some time. Fan expectations are high and at this point, there’s not even a rumor of a Baldur’s Gate 4.
