It took a little while for the RLCS 2025 season to get underway. The announcement caused a huge uproar among fans because of the removal of the third split. The minimum age has also been lowered from 15 to 13.
But now the entire road map has been laid out, we know that this is the last Major of 2025 before the Rocket League World Championship is due to take place in September. Sign ups for the open qualifiers 4, 5, and 6 are already open for all players who want to take part. Disappointingly, multiple regions will be competing across the time same frame, making it difficult for fans to keep track of so many events.
This is the third time a Rocket League Major has come to London. Previously, the 2021-22 Major and the season 5 RLCS World Championship also crowned their winners in the Copper Box.
RLCS Major 1 is yet to conclude
Fans and teams are currently descending on Copenhagen for this weekend’s RLCS Major 1 finals. The team that wins will earn 32 points and earn them a very decent chance of directly qualifying to the RLCS Major 2. The $75,000 prize money certainly sweetens the deal too. But unlike many other games, winning the Major doesn’t automatically qualify the winners to the World Championship.
Three of the top 4 teams from last year’s World Championship are set to compete again in Copenhagen. Team Liquid announced their departure from Rocket League at the end of the last year. So this time, all eyes are going to be on Team Vitality, Team BDS and Karmine Corp as they take to the stage once again this weekend.
