Top 5 Esports Arenas in the US

Dedicated esports arenas are an incredibly recent thing. While bigger esports events themselves have been around for some time, they used to usually take place in rented spaces, sometimes even sports venues. Those days are gone now and new esports arenas of various sizes are popping up all over the world.

Of course, the US is a veritable esports hub and features some of the biggest ones in the world – here are five of them.

1. Esports Stadium Arlington, Arlington, Texas

By far the biggest purpose built esports arena in the US, this new build is going to have its grand opening this November. With 100.000 square feet of space to it, the arena is filled with the latest high-tech equipment available, including top range machines, monitors and more.

All in all, some $10 million dollars went into the building of the new stadium. Populous is the venue specialist and driving force behind this particular venue – their goal is as simple as it is amazing: They want to build “the largest and most flexible esports stadium in the country”.

2. Allied Esports Arena Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada

This Vegas attraction hasn’t been around very long at all – in fact it only opened this March. Replacing a former nightclub in the Luxor Resort and Casino, it’s 30.000 square foot floor plan is nothing to scoff at, especially not in a place as cramped as Las Vegas can be.

Another interesting number here is ‘1000’ – in excess of 1000 square feet of monitors overhead allow fans and visitors to see what’s going on on the screens of the pros.

3. Esports Arena, Santa Ana, California

Opened in 2015, this was one of the first arenas dedicated to competitive gaming in North America. Owned by Allied Esports, it was only the first in a series of several more. With roughly 15.000 square feet of area, it is located in down-town Orange County.

Easily one of the first names people think of when they hear esports arena is of course the dedicated Blizzard arena in LA. A prime location neither other interesting spots like the Warner Bros. Studios and NBC Universal Studios, this venue regularly draws thousands upon thousands of visitors for various events in the world of Blizzard games.

5. HPU’s esports arena, Honolulu, Hawaii

While it may seem like a bit of a waste to spend time inside while in beautiful Hawaii, they too have a pretty big dedicated esports arena. Located in the Aloha Tower marketplace, the roughly 3.000 square-feet HPU arena is nothing to scoff at.

It features gaming rigs, virtual reality stations, relaxation areas and even outside viewing areas. Aloha, Hawaii!
