In Pokémon UNITE, there are about 40 of the popular creatures that players can play as. Similar to games like it (Super Smash Bros. and its characters come to mind), characters can be better than others. It’s certainly possible to win with any character, but certain ones make it a bit easier than others do.
If you want to advance in the Pokémon UNITE rankings here’s a surefire way to find the best way to do it.
Pokémon UNITE Tier List
Even though there are only about 40 Pokémon available in Pokémon UNITE, there can be a wide variety in usefulness. It’s helpful to know which are better to try out.
The Best of the Best
- Mew is widely considered one of the best. This makes sense, as it is arguably the most important one in the entire franchise. Its passive ability means that every time Mew uses a move, it and nearby allies have their move speed increased 15% for two seconds.
- Urshifu is on par with Mew as being perhaps the strongest character in this entire game. It is most useful in Jungle, but can transition to Bottom without missing a beat. It has quite a few strengths, including high burst damage with Single Strike Style. It also features a boosted Attack that reduces move cooldowns for Rapid Strike Style, and grants a shield for Single Strike Style, making it a dynamic attacker. It has solid survivability with Rapid Strike Style and can ignore shields with Unseen Fist, too.
- Comfey was added to the game not too long ago, but it’s easily one of the most powerful Pokémon players can choose from. In UNITE, it’s considered to be SS tier, which is among the best of the best. It has plenty of healing and disables at its beck and call and can safely and easily support allies when attached. It’s best in the bottom lane.
- Leafeon, the Grass-type evolution of Eevee, has quickly become one of the most used characters in Pokémon UNITE. It has high burst damage, high mobility and great scaling to make it an effective choice. It is most effective in Jungle, but it’s no slouch in the bottom lane, either.
- Zacian, one half of the Legendary duo from Sword and Shield, is easily a top Pokémon in UNITE. Use it in Jungle, but don’t be afraid to move it to bottom lane, where it is also extremely useful. It has very high damage output, cooldown reset mechanics and strong scaling. All of this makes it an excellent choice for any player.
- Mr. Mime is another top tier Pokémon UNITE character. Its ability is to take 10% less damage for two seconds when casting a move. Its stats are well-rounded and make it an excellent choice.
- Chandelure is a recent addition to the game but it is already one of the most popular for players. It’s considered one of the strongest Pokémon to use in this entire game. It has a very high burst and strong DoT damage. It is also fairly long-ranged, which can be advantageous. Chandelure can partially ignore Sp. Def. with Infiltration and prevent moves using Imprison.
- The Dark/Ghost Pokémon Sableye is another exceptional choice for UNITE players. It sits near the top of the Pokémon UNITE tier list for a reason as it has one of the best passive abilities. When out of sight, it enters stealth mode and has a movement speed increase. Even when it can be seen, stealth mode lasts a little longer.
- Azumarill is a strong UNITE character. Its passive ability is Huge Power, which means that whenever Azumarill hit a single enemy with an auto attack, a move, or their Unite Move, it will always be a critical hit.
- Tsareena has a very good passive ability. It is that after gaining three stacks, the “Queenly Majesty” buff is applied to Tsareena. It allows one of its moves to be used without a cooldown period. The buff also increases damage and applies an additional effect.
- Venusaur is also widely considered one of the best and most useful Pokémon UNITE playable characters. Venusaur is a special attacker. When its HP is below 30%, it begins dealing damage with an increase of 20%.
- Lapras can easily swap between top and bottom lane without losing any efficacy, which already makes it a strong contender. It features very high durability and sustain and can instantly knockout enemies with its Perish Song. Among its most useful attributes is exceptional scaling.
- Goodra is among Pokémon UNITE players’ favorite choices. It can also easily be effective in top and bottom lane, which makes it a multi-faceted threat. Goodra has very high durability and sustain as well as extremely useful cooldown reduction mechanics. It can inflict slows passively and has both melee and ranged attacks, making it a unique attacker that is dangerous from everywhere on the field.
- Umbreon, another Eevee evolution, is in the S tier, which makes it a great choice in practically any scenario. It’s best in bottom lane but can more than hold its own in the top thanks to its multiple methods of healing. It also has great scaling and can provide ample support with Wish.
Strong Pokémon UNITE Characters
These are more good choices. They’re not as strong as the ones mentioned above, but it is certainly easy to do well with them. Snorlax in particular is very popular because its attack becomes a boosted attack every third attack. Garchomp is growing more popular thanks to its ability to deal 30% of damage taken in return to its attacker.
