The Fortnite tournament at DreamHack San Diego is kicking off very soon! This is a DreamHack Fortnite No Builds tournament. One of our rare events that are held with no builds rather than the standard Battle Royale!
If you want to check out some of the emerging talent in Fortnite, this is the event to watch. This is what you need to know about the tournament, not a full DreamHack tournament guide, but how the players for the Fortnite event are decided and you can tune in to watch it.

Who’s attending the DreamHack Fortnite Tournament?
This tournament might not be the FNCS but as a LAN it’s attracting some of Fortnite’s biggest talent. These are great events to watch out for emerging players. Usually, those who perform well at the Fortnite LAN events like this go on to do well at Epic’s end-of-year LANs. Things are a bit different for this DreamHack Fortnite tournament though.
The teams aren’t set in stone like with other tournaments. This one is entirely open. Anyone who wants to attend can sign up and do so. The best Fortnite players, and maybe some average ones too!
This likely means the early heats are going to have a lot of players in them! A lot of unknowns will be featured that aren’t already well-known in the Fortnite scene yet. By the time we get to the last few heats though, we’ll definitely see some more familiar names emerging.
We don’t have a full list of those signed up for the DreamHack Fortnite no builds tournament just because of its open nature. You can tune into the heats to see if anyone stands out though.
