Arc System Works has detailed the next update coming to DNF Duel. It’s a title from the developer that’s dipped a bit in recent months, particularly after getting dropped from the Arc World Tour. Despite this though, it seems like they’re still following up with more content for the game. The next addition is going to be Spectre, a new character getting added to DNF Duel! The character update is coming in just a few weeks.
In a 20-minute interview with developers, they detailed a brand-new character coming. It’s going to be released on July 12th, so we don’t have long to wait till we get to play them. This is a character coming at around the one-year mark for DNF Duel, so we can expect a bigger update than just a new character. With the DNF Duel Season Pass roadmap now unveiled, we can expect even more new characters as well as new arenas.
DNF Duel Spectre Release Date
The DNF Duel Spectre release date has been announced, she’ll be joining the game on July 12. This is part of a larger update, but that’s when the next character will become playable. Spectre is a character based on the Female Slayer Class in the Dungeon Fighter Online game. It’s fun to see DNF Duel’s newer characters continue its more interesting themes of adapting different genres into a top fighting game.

Along with a new character, DNF Duel is getting new gameplay features too like Clear Cube and Indomitable Spirit. These new mechanics are going to alter defence and potentially introduce more areas for players to innovate on their play style.
DNF Duel Spectre Gameplay Unveiled
DNF Duel might be a bit slower compared to the other major fighting games and some other Arc games, but it’s still receiving support. The title is currently building things up for the next character to come to the game, Spectre. At a Summer Games Show event, clearer gameplay for Spectre has been unveiled by Arc System Works. With all of the new details revealed, we now know quite a bit more about who is coming next to the game.

Spectre is going to have a real reliance on sword moves in her kit, as well as great mobility. Her sword moves fast and it has a decent range, the character also seems quite fast. Her kit seems to set up to allow players to take the advantage in a lot of different spacing along with in the air. The DNF Duel Spectre kit so far looks like some of the best in DNF Duel.
This makes the next character addition a really interesting addition to the game! While DNF Duel isn’t a part of the Arc World Tour this year, it’s still getting interesting support.
