LCK Mid lane Power Rankings – 2025 Spring Split

5. Zeka

After winning the 2025 World Championship, high expectations were set for Zeka who joined HLE on what was supposed to be a solid roster. Despite having some strong moments, however, he wasn’t able to replicate the same results from his golden year. His champion pool has always been his double-edged sword: he shines a lot on his comfort picks but struggles once those are not meta or viable in the team compositions. This weakness will either make or break him in 2025: we’ll see whether the meta will shift in his favor or not.

4. ShowMaker

Ever since I saw the extended interview by Ashley Kang with ShowMaker, I have gained a lot of respect for the player. Being able to be honest about your feelings and talking through them on camera is not an easy feat, especially when put in a high-stress environment like esports.

ShowMaker is no longer the best mid lane player from the LCK, and from a competitive standpoint, he hasn’t been outstanding. He is solid for sure but it has been long since he stood at the top: 2025 might be the year that might make or break him.

3. Bdd

Bdd has always had ups and downs in the past few years but 2025 turned out to be quite a positive year for him. He shone on specific picks and KT found a way to take advantage of those during the year. Unfortunately, KT found themselves with one of the worst draws ever at Worlds, which probably affected their run. Nonetheless, Bdd is back among the top mids and he should stay relevant, especially if control mages are going to be meta.

2. Faker

People are going to be mad at me for putting Faker in second place but I want to remind you that this is an individual player ranking list, and I think Faker deserves the second place. What he brings to the table for his team and T1 goes well beyond his mechanical and individual prowess, but if we focus on the latter, he hasn’t been the best in the past few years.

What I love about Faker is his ability to always go beyond the limit and have that unlimited drive and ambition to prove he can stay on top of the world. He doesn’t have to be the best single player, but he needs to make sure his team is the best. And throughout the past few years, he has done that job almost to perfection. What will happen to LoL Esports once he retires? I’m not ready to accept that yet…

1. Chovy

Chovy has been regarded as the best mid laner in the LCK for years, despite him and Gen.G not delivering as expected during the international stages. While I think he’s still individually incredible, it’s tough to overlook those moments, especially when the team has been at the top domestically throughout the entire season.

What I need to see from Chovy this year is an evolution or readaptation of his playstyle. In the past splits, Peanut used to play around him and the bot lane as a utility player. With someone like Canyon coming in, who has quite a different playstyle, how is Chovy going to adapt?

The answer to this question will tell me whether Chovy still deserves to be the no.1 mid laner in the LCK.
