Fortnite Weapons – New Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade is a new addition with Fortnite weapons for Chapter 4 Season 2. It’s a katana which fits the Japanese theme this time perfectly! While it looks like a few available pickaxes, it’s an in-game item and not a cosmetic. You don’t have to worry about grinding for free v-bucks to get it!
The weapon actually has two uses. One is for rotation, a dash move that sends you hurdling forward. You can use this to get across flat ground, but with Aerialist, you can launch yourself directly upwards a couple of times before pulling out your glider. It’s basically one of the Fortnite weapons with the best potential for rotation. There are three charges for this move.
The second attack is a combo of Fortnite sword moves. You make a few slashing attacks that each have knockback and deal damage. While you take no fall damage while using the blade, anyone you hit with either attack will take it! For melee weapons, Fortnite has this season made one that constantly gets kills from fall damage.
Where to Find Fortnite Weapons
As with all new Fortnite weapons, there are a few different places to find the Kinetic Blade. There’s the first option which is general loot. The Fortnite sword is available on the floor, in chests, most places where you can get loot. Outside of that, you can get it from holo-chests. There are also quite a lot of 100% spawns.
If you’re looking to guarantee a Kinetic blade or two, you can land in specific spots. The Japanese-style houses in that biome have stands where a Kinetic Blade is located. There are dueling arenas too which feature two spawns. These are great spots if you want to take the randomness out of your early game.
Do You Need a Kinetic Blade every Game?
If you’re looking to climb up the Fortnite ranks, then having a kinetic blade isn’t going to be a bad thing! It’s probably one of the most important items added to the Fortnite loot pool in recent years. While it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste, making sure you grab one when you can give you every advantage with rotation and melee fights!
