LCS – 8 teams, 1 title

The LCS had quite a weird 2025 season. On one hand, the NA league struggled with decreasing viewership dropping but on the other it had a team in the top 8 at Worlds, proving that there was potential from the top teams.

Going into 2025, however, the LCS will have its first-ever eight-team league. Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians have officially left, and no other orgs were found to replace the vacant spots. As a result, the LCS will have fewer matches during the regular season, as well as a slightly tweaked playoff format.

There is good news, however, and that’s the return of the weekend schedule for NA. Matches will now go back to being played on Saturday and Sunday, just like the previous years. With that in mind, let’s check out the schedule of the 2025 LCS Spring Split, which is set to begin on January 20.
