In the third ever episode of the hit anime, Misty’s age was revealed to be 10 years old. However, since that was 26 years ago, it’s reasonable to believe that she’s aged since then. Is she 36 years old now? Not exactly. The show lasted for so long, but the characters never really aged. There’s a running joke about Ash Ketchum being 10 years old and having 20 years of Pokémon-catching experience. The same would technically be true of Misty from Pokémon.
The characters underwent design changes as technology advanced and they made appearances in different places. For the most part, they all remained the same age time and again. Perhaps now that their show is over, they will age. There’s no explained reason why the characters don’t age. The show doesn’t address any of this. However, Misty still appeared in the anime several different times and returned to Alola at one point with Brock.
