Overwatch 2 has long had a diverse cast of characters which are the central draw for a lot of the player base. We know quite a bit about some of these characters thanks to all of the lore surrounding the game like what the OW Hero Ages are.
In the past, Overwatch Hero heights, backstory, a lot of other information been revealed. What about the OW Hero ages though? Blizzard has only fairly recently corrected all of their ages. Giving them proper ages rather than just what we gleamed from spin-off media. OW 2 Season 6 included a big lore drop on what all the Overwatch hero ages are.
Blizzard has shown off quite a bit of information about the characters beyond how they perform in the game itself. It’s often this extra information and lore that gets fans most excited. After quite a bit of speculation over the years, Blizzard has finally unveiled the OW 2 hero ages. Then just a short while later, updated OW 2 hero ages were added after they messed up the first time. These are all of the ages of the characters as last given by Blizzard as we currently understand them.

Who is the Youngest Hero in Overwatch?
Orisa is actually the youngest hero in Overwatch! A lot of players typically assume it’s D.Va, but Orisa is actually the youngest character. Being only 1 year old, Echo is significantly younger than the rest of the cast. However, Echo is pretty young too at only 14 years old.
Who is the Oldest OW Hero Age?

Sigma is the oldest of the OW hero ages. The character is just older than Reinhardt. Reaper is also pretty old too, coming in at 60. At 64 years old though Sigma is definitely the oldest character in Overwatch. This could change in the future though. Overwatch patches and future additions could eventually reveal an even older character. The most recently added was Mauga though, who is in their 30s. With the OW hero ages spanning from 1 to 64, it seems no number is off-limits. Future Overwatch hero ages could go even further!
Blizzard Updates OW Hero Ages
Just a short while after first revealing the OW Hero Ages, Blizzard has changed them! Why have they changed their mind so early? Pretty much as soon as we learnt about the Overwatch Hero Ages players found reasons to disagree with them. Essentially, they didn’t seem to have been checked them against other lore. We had characters who were supposedly linked in early life decades apart in age. Some character’s backstories were nearly impossible with the original numbers given.
To rectify things, Blizzard has updated the early Overwatch hero ages. We now have a different age for quite a few of the characters. Although, Blizzard hasn’t just changed all of them. The child soldier characters are still very young. It’s just those with some weirder lore implications that have been updated, presumably from mistakes in the first place. Overwatch has a lot of other media with lore details that isn’t necessarily reflected in the core game, and it seems ages were a bit off because of this.
Although, some fans still have a bit of an issue with characters like Kiriko’s backstory. Where an image showing three clearly similarly aged characters apparently depicts people decads apart in age. Despite these problems, we’ve cleared up a lot of the inconsistencies with this newer update.
The figures listed above are the up-to-date version of the OW Hero ages, not the originals. If you want to know how old each of the characters in Overwatch this is our most update to date information! There’s no guarantee we won’t see Blizzard change them in the future though. Keep an eye on Overwatch news, and future lore additions might mean they change up the ages again.
