Skullgirls is one of the older fighters still played at major fighting game esports events, and there are good reasons that it’s still a big game. The title has a lot going for it, particularly in how often it’s still getting updated. it is impressive that Skullgirls still getting new character releases. The most recent of these is Skullgirls Marie, a brand-new fighter coming to the title. Or one that’s already here if you’re part of a smaller group of Skullgirls players.
Marie has been playable in an unfinished form before, but they’re now finally available widely! We’ve got the full Skullgirls Marie release date confirmed.

Marie Release Date
Skullgirls Marie is the latest character to be added through DLC and we’ve already had a chance to play them in early access. When do they release in full though? Developers have given us a full update, and even teased some cosmetics like an alternative voice pack coming for the character.
The Skulllgirls Marie release date will be March 26th! She’ll be the final character in the Season 1 Pass, which has kind of been lengthy. There’s a Goth Marie voice pack coming as part of a bundle with the character. It looks like they’ll be an interesting addition to the roster of Skullgirls characters once they’re released in full.
Skullgirls Marie Early Access
The latest DLC character to come to Skullgirls 2nd Encore is Marie, a new character coming as part of the Season 1 Pass! The character is currently slated to hit general release soon, but players will have to wait until the opening of 2025. The current release window is pointing towards this window for when they’re fully released. However, players can get involved earlier. Great news if you’ll be a bit sidetracked in Q1 2025 thanks to the Tekken 8 release.
Skullgirls Marie early access is about to start. Players can get the character early provided they already own the season pass. This is the most efficient way of unlocking the new characters so plenty of players will have access to this. It isn’t coming early on every platform though.
Players will only be able to access the character early by playing on Steam. The character isn’t offered for console yet. While Skullgirls is one of the best PS4 fighting games, the title won’t receive the new fighter until further down the line.
While Skullgirls Marie early access is now here, we won’t be able to play them on console until early 2025. Fans can get a look at how they handle on Steam right now though.

Even with quite a few characters in the game already, new releases like Skullgirls Marie are still showing there’s room for innovation with the game’s characters though. Skulllgirls has a few tournaments coming up. A new character like this won’t be playable from the very start. However, over the coming months we’ll likely see players break down the character in more detail. Eventually once added to competitive releases, the Skullgirls Marie character could go on to be one of the better characters to play in events.
